Weekly task calendar
The task list tells you what has to be done. It does not tell you whether Tuesday morning is empty, whether three people have four things at the same time, or what is due on Thursday. That is what the Weekly calendar is for: the same week, day by day and hour by hour, at a glance.
You will find it under Task management → Weekly calendar tab, next to the usual list.
What it solves
- See the gaps and the overlaps. An empty morning or four tasks at nine show up before they become a problem.
- Know what is due each day. Tasks with no planned start time appear on the day they are due, in their own row.
- Share the work out sensibly. With the filter by person you see at once who is loaded and who is not.
- Get to the task without searching. Any card opens its record.
What it shows
One column per day of the week and one row per hour. Each task sits at the hour it is planned to start, in the colour of its status. Today is highlighted, and the arrows move between weeks.
- Status legend. At the top, each status with its colour and how many tasks are in that status this week. Click a status to hide it or show it again, for example to keep only what is pending.
- More than two tasks at the same time. They are grouped in an "N tasks" card; clicking it opens the list. With one or two, they show separately.
- Several days. Tasks spanning more than one day go in their own row, at the top.
- Create from a gap. Click an empty hour to create a task at that time.
- "Deadline" row. Tasks with no planned start time do not fit in any hour: they appear in this row, on the day they are due.
- Unassigned tasks. Shown like the others, marked *Unassigned*, so they do not get lost.
The list filters (branch, status, priority and person) also apply here: switching tabs does not lose them. Times are shown in your own time zone, your browser's, and the calendar says so at the foot.
Opening a task from the calendar
Click a card. A panel opens with the essentials: planned start, deadline, branch, assigned people, priority and status. From there, Open record takes you to the full task, to edit or assign it.
What it is for, day to day
- Monday morning, before sharing out the work: see the whole week and move what does not fit.
- When someone is off: filter by that person and see which of their tasks need reassigning.
- Before accepting a new job: check which gap it fits in.
Who can see it
The same people who see the task list: owners and managers see the whole company; supervisors see their branches.
